This Privacy Policy explains how Earth Business Zone ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Qumber mobile application (the "App"). Qumber is a hospital OPD (outpatient department) token booking and queue management application. By using Qumber, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect the following information so that the App can function:
| Type of data | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Full name, email address, mobile phone number, password (stored securely, never in plain text) | To create and secure your account and identify you to your hospital |
| Appointment / health-related data | Selected hospital, department, doctor, booked token number, time slot, queue status | To book your OPD token and show your live position in the queue |
| Health information (optional) | Age and blood group, if you choose to provide them | Shown to the treating doctor alongside your token. Both fields are optional and can be left blank. |
| Staff information (hospital users only) | Employee ID, role, department, designation | To allow authorized hospital staff to manage queues and call patients |
| Notification permission | Device notification access | To alert you (sound and vibration) before your token is called |
Location. If you are a patient, the App may use your device location on your device only, to sort hospitals by distance. This location is never uploaded or stored by us. If you are a hospital administrator, tapping “Use current location” saves your hospital’s coordinates so patients can find it — that is the hospital’s location, not a person’s.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, or any sensitive personal information beyond what is listed above. Qumber does not sell your personal data to anyone.
Qumber uses Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database), a service provided by Google LLC, to securely authenticate users and store App data. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on Google's secure infrastructure. Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication and are never stored or visible to us in plain text.
You can review Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We share your information only as needed to provide the service:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
We retain your account and booking information for as long as your account is active. Unattended tokens are automatically cleared on a daily basis. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. To do so, visit our Account & Data Deletion page or email us at the address below. Upon request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Qumber is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
